Antolin Alcaraz ruled out for two weeks.

Everton defender Antolin Alcaraz is set to be sidelined for the next two weeks due to muscle fatigue, the club has revealed.

The Paraguayan followed manager Roberto Martinez to the club in the summer, after signing from Wigan Athletic.

Alcaraz has been plagued by injuries this season, making just three appearances for the Toffees in all competitions, though his return to action has been short-lived with the 31-year-old now ruled out for the next fortnight.

A statement on the club's website read: "Defender Antolin Alcaraz is suffering muscle fatigue and is expected to be out for a fortnight.

Alcaraz is likely to miss games against West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League and an FA Cup fourth round clash with Stevenage.
