Well if it fills up the houses and stops the yearly influx from Aspull and Scholes I'd be happy

Well Anubis, my sentiments entirely regarding Dougie. He may well finish the job off, that Gartside has been attempting for the past few years.

We are well aware of that.

Now have you ever thought about your position ?.

A little precarious I would suggest.

Dave Whelan is now 77 years of age. Not a spring chicken. Now I happen to admire Dave Whelan, he is the only chairman who has actually played the game, clever ruthless man.

Now just supposing Dave Whelan happened to die suddenly ( I hope this scenario does not happen for many years), do you think he will have left a trust fund, a bit like Jack Walker at Blackburn. Because if he does not, I don't see any of his family being people who would relish taking over the reins and pumping more money in.

Be careful what you wish for bud, bigger and far better clubs than Wigan Athletic have come a cropper.

Hi Eric no real offence meant, just friendly hatred

Bigger yes, better No!badly run clubs get what they deserve,it's hard on the fans because of the emotional attachment.look at the state of portsmouth, playing Europa this time 5 seasons ago, mismanaged! Coventry, sh.it hole enough said

But as a follower of football,as long as the so called big four are not on I'll watch virtually any game, I don't want any club outside manchester to crumble to the ground.I just want your club one division below ours and if you are not planning to get relegated I guess we'll have to get promoted

SDW said ont' telly last week his grandson will be taking over when he steps down. See you soon x

Just a thought Les. The same could happen to us. If owt happened to Eddie Davies, his family are horse fanatics, the Reebok could be turned into a equestrian centre.

We do have to be careful what we wish for.
