Official Chelsea v West Ham Thread

after starting only my second official match thread against cardiff, and improving my record to 2-0 ( ), i'm taking a huge punt by kicking off things for our midweek game against the plastics...

... but that's what i do for you lot.

    overall head to head stats:

    chelsea 36 wins
    draw 17
    west ham 33 wins

all fairly even, although probably not as much in recent times.

i am not sure that our new signings will start, or get a run at all for that matter, but i sense a change is in the air. two italian internationals, and the return of a couple of injured stars, will hopefully give us the momentum we need to propel ourselves to mid-table and away from a relegation dogfight.

it appears adrian has taken his chance with the gloves with both hands (see what i did there )

our defence was rock solid at full strength, and we are close to having that again. unless something has happened recently that i am unaware of, it should consist of demel, tomkins, collins, and rat.

    it now seems that

You might anticipate a 4-0 trouncing. I think this is highly likely.

However, we did not play at the weekend and it's just possible that our freshness will count for something. I have no idea whether any of the squad additions will be blooded, however if Roger Johnson is in central defence then we are in deep trouble.
