    I was there that day and have to say it was superb and I didn't have tickets for rhe wolves end as they were sold out, still fgot in the wolves end no probs and boy what a day.

    Eve, we didn't take more than 2500-3000 to Newcastle that day , 1000+ by plane of course. However to answer MitchiganWolf, two games spring to mind:-

    Bolton away 1977, Our last game of the season, promotion assured, Bolton needed to win to go up with us (we won 1-0, Forest got promotion and the rest is history). We absolutely rammed the bowl of an end that was the away end at Burnden park. I went on one of the six special trains that day. The gate was 38000 and it was stated that we took 11000.But I think the end held more than that, you can find this game on youtube to check it out.

    I have remembered another large "Following" Manure away FACQtr Final 1976? we were allocated 17000 tickets and "only" took about 11000-13000 and Radio WM moaned about us not selling our allocation !

    March 6th 1976 we drew 1-1 (Richards)decent gate that day at Old Trafford, 59,433
    We lost the replay 2-3,and of course Manure went on to lose 1-0 in the final to Southampton!

    I've heard we're gonna have an initial allocation of 4,500 Tix similar to Cov and then what happens 'happens'( obviously Cov pushed and got loads more)surely we could help the Don'S fill that ground for the first time ever!!!
