    No news is good news at the moment. However for those driving, especially on the m275 take heed


    MOTORISTS leaving Portsmouth face delays this weekend due to roadworks.


    Portsmouth City Council advised drivers to allow extra time for their journeys between 8am and 4pm today and tomorrow when works on the M275 are carried out.

    Works which include installing emergency phones and electronic signs, mean the left-hand lane of the northbound carriageway between Rudmore roundabout and the new Tipner Interchange junction is shut during the period.

    Graham Baggaley, project manager, said: a€˜Unfortunately we sometimes have to close lanes while work is done, but we have scheduled this for a time we know is far less likely to have any adverse impact.
