Even the BBC report says it was haesh etc etc

" The England forward was harshly sent off after appearing to catch Chico Flores accidentally with his arm on 59 minutes,

West Ham might appeal against Carroll's red card as Chico exaggerated any contact.

Flores went to ground clutching his face and the hosts thought he had over-reacted, with replays showing contact looked unintentional as Carroll tried to untangle himself after an aerial challenge with the centre-back."

Flores is a cheating (unt and should be punished
Webb is just a (unt and is going to made to look a mug if the appeal is successful, but he is so far up the FA's rsole cant see much getting done about it

Webb responded to Downing's questioning with a kind of hands open shrug which I interpreted as "I had no choice"

    Haven't seen the replay.

Mike copy and paste the link in my above post. Gif of the incident. Clearly no intent imo and should have been a foul to us.

Why doesn't the FA implement a rule, if someone blatantly dives or flops during a game they get an automatic one match ban. If the dive fools the ref into giving a penalty or red card in error then dish out a 3 match ban without pay. Maybe that will stamp out this s.hit from the game.

    F. Ucking frustrating, just when Carroll starts to get some games under his belt, this happens , right in front of a key stretch of 3 tough but winnable games. We just can't seem to catch a f.ucking break, all year we've had a run of bad fortune. Has to change at some point surely!

For a red to be overturned it takes irrefutable evidence that a mistake's been made. Very harsh but the ban will stand imo.

Pathetic, if they dont overturn this then they really have got Webb up their ar 5es. A butterfly would do more damage than that little brush.
