    Barkers new remit

Along with all the other regulars we realise a mid-table finish would be a massive over achievement with this now almost footballer-free squad.
Mr Barker you now must aim for a top 22 finish, and more importantly a reason for 15,500 people to continue their lifelong habitual pact with the club. i.e. You play football, and we will watch it.
Three tips from an interested fan
Can you play our England left back at left back?
Can you not play our recent player of the month, anywhere,he is hopeless everywhere?
    Can you get Connelly back?
Mr Barker you will never be remembered for having a fallout with one of your players, but you might be infamous for taking this Great club into the non league.

NSC, I think that is his new remit: get Pompey into the Conference as painfully as possible.

After all, 100 years ago Pompey were in the Southern League, weren't they? Now, in 2014 we can celebrate the centenary "promotion" back into the first tier of football outside of the main leagues.

And, it won't be a first in having a previous recent FA Cup finalist relegated in this fashion. Just look where Luton Town are now.

Connolly obviously didn't want to play for us so it's pointless people harping on about him.

Connelly is/was one of a select few at the club who can actually "play" football.Mr Barker seemed to be the one keen to keep him on the bench or better still in the stands or even better in Oxford.

Connolly didn't want to play for us - under Whittingham or Barker. If Connolly had the right attitude he'd have been playing.

On that basis Ertl would be playing every week.We all go to Fratton to watch football and hopefully win.Its the managers job to select his best team.Considering the ability that runs through this present squad unless Connelly was unable to walk he should be in the team.Iam surprised some of his clueless teamates can find their way to Fratton park.
