    Based on that performance - thank goodness we coudn't/didn't get him in the window.

    Overweight and unfit - Ellis had him in his back pocket all afternoon.

    yep, I very much prefer our policy of loaning younger players from higher up the pyramid.

    They are cheaper, hungrier and there is always the chance we might unearth a gem who might not quite make it/ is not ready for PL yet but whom we can make an attempt to sign on a permanent basis with the advantage that we know all about his capabilities and have already integrated him successfully in the group.

    Very true, both of you - hindsight hey...

    At the time we needed/wanted anyone to kick start us. There is a very good (number of) reason SD is manager and we're not lol.
