    Doughty

Two years since our greatest owner/fan sadly passed away.

RIP Nigel. Our thoughts are with you and your family at this time. Hopefully Fawaz and the boys can carry on the great strides we are making and put NFFC back in the premier league. Such a shame that you did not get chance to see it

We may have had some dodgy managers recently - pre and post Billy but one thing is certain, we have been blessed with 2 fantastic owners in Nigel and now Fawaz!

    Come on you reds

RIP nigel cant believe its 2 years...

Tricky you need to put the message out that he was your 'greatest owner/fan' though. We have had an idiot on our board (garibaldi) saying he was a worse owner than our 3 amigo's that stole all our money and then got sent to prison for it. Mental.

Mental doesn't cover it. Doughty made mistakes, but he was only human. He was a fan, a supporter and he loved the club. He didn't have to pretend to be red in the soul, he was.
He wasn't in it to make money. He was in it because he believed he could move NFFC forward. He was, quite simply, one of our own.

Tragic short life for a fine man.

Goodonya son for starting this thread, I was hoping someone would, good to see you have Daddy's inclinations!

Nigel was an awesome man, he may not have overseen a successful campaign as owner, but he did something few owners in our history can match - he saved the club from the abyss. Now that is as good as any victory we've ever had, even the 2 European Cups.

hopefully garibaldi see's this thread. If every one of the 3 amigo's died tomorrow there would be no one lamenting that on our board or saying this

he saved the club from the abyss .

Anyway sorry for hijacking this thread, Doughty was a great man and its a big loss.

No need to apologise Triz. Your input is weclome and appreciated.
We can argue and piss take till the cows come home about the drivel. This is about marking the passing of a real supporter, who tried to make a difference.

RIP Nigel and let your spirit shine on through the youth system, you embraced at NFFC.
You made us proud and your family knows it.

Well said Tricky and nice one Triz. Agree he made mistakes (we all do) but he always had the best interests of the club at heart and tried to do the right thing. RIP Nigel.
