    Fishing Thread

    Hey Bongo. Nice fishing

Been a gruelling season down here with a dry summer and severe floods since December.

Had a good September/October on The Hampshire Avon Barbel fishing with 4 dubs to 12.03. This winter I've focused on the Avon Pike with plenty of doubles topped with a 21.07 and a 21.11 (different fish) Not the season I envisaged but well happy with the results

Sounds like a great place to fish. 10lb+ barbel and 20lb pike is huge!! Amazing!
I have some news. I'm looking at buying a boat and mooring it at lac du der. It became famous in the 70 and 80s with huge catches of carp from anglers like rod Hutchinson. I want the boat big enough to to sleep on and fish from. I would only need petrol and tunnel money and go when I want.
I've only been once and didn't do well but apparently we had one of the poor night fishing pegs. Caught a few nice 3.7 lb Rudd.
Lovely place and has beaches food cycling and golf near by.
I've worked out I can get 1 week a month off. Perfect! France every month.
