    Road surfaces - South Hampshire

The roads locally have hit an all time low. The incredibly bumpy pot holed ridden highways is no joke.

Portsmouth generally isnt too bad, however there are some neglected areas and road works seem to last forever in pompey
Gosport is pretty poor off the 2 main roads
fareham is arguably the best in my area
Southampton , well i was shocked when i drove past the docks towards end of the m271 the other day. Dirty great potholes and hundreds of cracks over the main highway surface. Tbh, you have too feel for the residents in southampton as the council have clearly put sod all into road condition and i'd imagine that suspension and tyre bills in stains are astronomical compared to other cities.

Surely more investment for better surfaces of a higher quality would save turmoil and cost in the long run.

Also all utility companies should have the same 2 month window each year to lay pipes wires etc and they should make good the mess they've made.Rather than bodging up a previously decent road.
