    Charlton 0 Birmingham City 2

Frederico Macheda on loan to Birmingham from Manchester Utd scored twice for Birmingham on 22 and 79 minutes to ensure a win for the away team and another defeat for the Addicks who haven't won since Boxing Day.

It goes to show how important it is to get the right players in the loan market and also not to lose your best players just as this new Board have done and not to back the manager at the right times.

Charlton now go onto play Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday who are enjoying a good run of form and Charlton need a win if they are to avoid any threat of relegation but this is realistically looking more unlikely.

What a shame Jiminez and Slater sold the club on I thought they did a good job in backing Powell and in keeping the right players but this new board don't seem to understand the nuances of the Championship and the nature of the football in this league. - [url=http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/charlton-athletic/news/powell-it-wasnt-our-day_136361.html]view external l
