Sad to hear of the passing of a true legend, a great player for PNE and England. Had the privilege of watching him play once, towards the end of his career.

My Dad said he was the finest footballer he'd ever seen. Would have loved him down at the Rovers.
Not just a great footballer, more importantly, a great man.
I am sure he will have a fitting tribute. His family must be so proud, thoughts are with them.

Definately a legend in the true sense of the word. 91 years old is a very good innings.

    Very sad news indeed.

With the other half of the family all being North Enders I have sat in the Tom Finney stand on many occasions.

RIP to a true footballing legend.
