    Carlton Palmer being lambasted

for saying black players should be like him and ignore racist comments from other players

He is right of course in the respect that they should not react at the time but should report it when the game is over.

players who abuse other players race, creed, ***ual orientation etc do so to get a reaction and therefore gain an advantage if there's no reaction the abuser gets no advantage and will try something else.

Lou Maccari for instance has often said a tactic he used on defenders at free kicks and corners was to make remarks about the things he had done to the guys wife.
The remarks were untrue of course but it usually got the desired reaction and often resulted in a goal for his side

ah well, Lou Maccari must be correct then, imagine a professional player dropping his guard because another player made a snide comment, you are not the sharpest east cot obviously

Zinedine Zidane 'dropped his guard' and got sent off in a world cup final because of a snide remark and he was considered the best player in the world at the time.

But don't let that stop you havering away to yourself, s****hive.
