This'll be a real test, we'll do well to get a draw

We give them a hell of a good game, gutted not to pinch a point, but we gave a good account of ourselves.

    re: Liverpool

We certainly gave them a fright, and deserved the draw. Both sides produced all out attacking football,it was good to watch if you were a neutral. The Kop was silenced and unusually quiet as we came back from 2-0 to draw level 2-2 and 3-3,before succumbing to a 72nd minute winner.
It was not nice to concede what I thought were defensively four poor goals, but conversely we scored three goals at fortress Anfield, which was no mean feat.Their last two home games were a 4-0 and 5-1 thrashing of Everton and Arsenal,so a lot to be commended. At the end of the day no points, but we protected our goal difference. Other clubs around us gained ground though, making the Palace game all the more ***** to get points from. Unfortunately we've got a huge game in Napoli on Thursday before the Palace match. Let's hope we steer clear of injuries and have enough energy left to see off Palace a few days later.
