If nothing else he saved them from the humiliation of being liqudated and having to start in the lowest league as a newco.
What do you reckon , why was he booed the last time he visited ? Now he's being lauded as a hero
Mind you, the sellik fans booed wee Henrik too, upon his return
If nothing else he saved them from the humiliation of being liqudated and having to start in the lowest league as a newco.
take a day off , you raving bigot
So by pointing out the truth I am a bigot.
What colour is the sky in your warped little world.
i'm asking aboot sellik but you turn it into an anti rangers thing, why don't you just try to at least be balanced for 5 mins
grant us that illusion
As a guess I think the Celtic fans watched what happened at Ibrox in 2012 and what is still going on as we speak and revised their opinion of McCann.
The rangers must be praying for a similar person to come to the clubs rescue.

History has treated Fergus well and his long planned takeover was the foundation for the 21st-century Celtic. He duly delivered everything in his 5 year plan and his years at the club have been hailed as the perfect template for developing a modern football club.
The McCann story has its own unique story within the overall Celtic story as he travelled all over the world from America to a cow shed in Fermanagh, Ireland buying up the original shares in his bid to oust a 106 year family dynasty that owned Celtic Football Club.
He upset many players, managers and supporters at Celtic with many of his decisions such was his nature.
He and the Celtic Legal Team dismantled and exposed Jim Farry and the SFA as glib liars and cheats with Farry being sacked for gross mis-conduct.
McCann deserves his place in Celtic History if only for saving the club from the eternal stain of liquidation and will no doubt have his statue erected in 'The Avenue Of Heroes' kindly paid for by Glasgow Counci
i read his version of sellik's history, obviously living in canada so long gives one a selective version of events, but overall he seems a decent bloke.
Aye wee Fergus is a decent bloke Gers and the right man at the right time for Celtic...he used to personally sell the Paradise Windfall Tickets in the hospitality lounges such was his fervour for getting Celtic back on track.
Not appreciated by many at the time but by most now.
