It's much better not worse than it looks.

I know there's some despondency after our DLL sequence over the last 3 games, that more or less signaled the end of our automatic promotion hopes.

Of course it's not over and Davies has said the same. But he has to as the manager, you just can't throw in the towel after 33 games or so. But 11 points and 2 other sides ahead of us, it does look very unlikely. All 3 will have to collapse for us to have any chance, and you also a have a resurgent Wigan and a strong Reading side to contend with.

But take your mind back to this time last year, we went on a run from February and March, just into April. But somehow you knew the blip would come and it came at the worst possible time and there just wasn't enough games for us to recover. Every game in April became a must win, even a draw wasn't gonna be enough. Failure to beat Barnsley effectively killed off the play-offs hope.

Currently we have hit our blip, which was also looking inevitable. But the difference it's has happened earlier and a

The Wigan and Burnley games were a wake up call to some on our management teams actual ability to pick and motivate a team hit by injuries. If you haven`t got your 'best 11'then you better damn well make sure the replacements are organised and fighting for the cause . Unfortunately this was very much not the case to the extent that they actually gave up in my opinion once the 3rd goal went in vs Wigan.

It`s sad that a season the promised so much now seems to be over despite a large number of points to still play for.You could tangibly feel the acceptance of it in the crowd last Saturday and how many of us actually expect anything tomorrow against a team hit for 5 last week? Only the eternally optimistic i`d say.
