In the wake of victory it can be all too easy to forget those who have been defeated. At 0-0 I thought the game could have gone either way and perhaps Athletic should have taken the lead. I'm sure Harriot will rue that missed chance in front of the kop when the goal was at his mercy and tbh I haven't got a clue as to how he missed it.

But we got our goal and all that did was spur us on, I felt a little sorry for Hamer when Brayford scored, there was little he could do and it didn't help matters when the team were arguing amongst themselves on the half-way line whilst United were celebrating.

The fans were great too, they came in numbers and sang there hearts out, were naturally dejected at 2-0 but then I would have been too. On the way to the ground I met a group of supporters on the tram and they were great, some had come from London whilst a couple were from Peterborough and a pleasure to talk to - shame that the fans have such a long journey back and maybe some pass Wembley along
