Rickies' ability from the penalty spot is a big plus in his favour along with having played over 30 games this season scoring 10 goals.
To be fair to Andy Carroll he has scored in an international tournament which shows he can perform at that level.
Much as i'd love to see Rickie go to the world cup i don't think it will happen and Uncle Woy will play it safe and go with Carroll

In all honesty, in the build up to the JRod goal, can anyone imagine, if Carroll had been in Lambert's position, he would have played the passes Lambert gave to Guly and JRod?
IMO he would have shot and hoped on both occasions.
Carroll is too one dimensional.
