Overall a cracking day and suffice to say I was trollied come the end of it.
Sounds like a good'n, but then I've yet to have a bad day when the beer and food has been gratis
Never done a day at the races - all I know who have reckon it's ace..
Mate of mine has some sort of season ticket jobbie at Newbury - keeps asking me to go along. Worth doing ?
Pents - You sound like Oscar Pistorious with that gun stuff.
Papa - Newbury is my local course (even more so now we've moved) and is a top notch place. I prefer the winter jumps meetings to the summer flat as they're less crowded and less full of youngsters on the lash. But then I'm into my Racing, if you want to just go and have a good laugh, the summer evening meetings are good value. They often put bands on after the Racing too.
Can certainly recommend Ascot, they put on a good deal of entertainment behind the stands, plenty of eye candy and yet to ever leave standing, a darn good laugh for a boys day out.
I haven't got a South African accent Mart.
As Joff says, it's a cracking day out for both the lads or the lasses.
I'm off to Goodwood on a staggy in a few months time in a box, I'm quite looking forward to it.
