    Carroll offers nothing if his marker is good in the air, Mertesacker is 6ft6in and needs to be attacked with pace and trickery because he's not bothered by Andy's heading just like Skrtel wasn't.

    I like Carroll and I'm sure that fully fit and firing he's a lot better than this... but that said... it would be criminal if he hopped into Rickie Lambert's WC spot now.
