Why we need to finish 3rd...

Just had a look through the past 13 years of final league tables (back to the turn of the century basically) and not once during that time did the team finishing 4th ever win the play offs. Teams in the other positions have, but not 4th.

You have to go back to Charlton in 96/97 I believe to see the last time 4th place got promoted.

Thought that was quite interesting.
