The run of Tuesday night wins came to an abrupt end with this defeat against Barnsley which lifted them off the bottom of the relegation zone.

Charlton dominated much of the first half but were still unable to score with chances going begging from Jordan Cousins, Johnnie Jackson and Callum Harriott - who had the worse miss from six yards out.

On 32 minutes Barnsely scored from a corner headed in by French defender Mvoto.

In the 2nd half Diego Poyet's shot went narrowly wide and Sordell curled a shot well wide but in the 63rd minute, Barnsley scored again when Kennedy's cross nestled itself into the back of the net after some poor defending.

Ajdarevic on as a substitute bundled in a corner in stoppage time but it was too little too late as the fight to stay in the division goes onto the last day of the season and the Addicks look as if they aren't up to it unless they show us some mettle. I fully expect to be supporting the team in League 1 next season.
