When I started supporting Pompey we were Div 4 and you were Div 1 (same as now). And which fans got to see a major trophy win first (not to mention 2 Divisional titles)? During that time you had a Paintpot.

History has a habit of repeating, I still wouldn't mind betting we win a major trophy before you again. Might not be in my lifetime though...

I would have loved to see Bournemouth get to the Prem. They're our real rivals now I suppose, and it would have been good to have another derby as it will be a while (if ever again) until we play Pompey.

Given that they've also won an early version of the Paintpot and sit only one major trophy win behind you, I guess they are your real rivals.

No Chis - I'm not living in the past, I'm quite happy in the here and now. Portsmouth and Bournemouth are almost equidistant from Southampton, but they are far better than you so they have to be considered as our rivals. I'd love to see what you'd have said 6 years ago if I'd said "You'll be playing two divisions below Bournemouth and Yeovil in 6 years!"[
