2014/15 Everton Kit To Have 1995 Style Black Trim?

New Everton kit will have black trim.

Next seasons new Everton kit from Umbro will feature black trim and, wait for it, black socks, according to sources.

Harking back to the kit worn by Dixie Dean as he lifted the FA Cup for Everton in 1933, the kit will look similar to that shown below (which is not a leaked image, nor an official design) and provide a stark change from the more recent "tradition" of white trimmed shirts.

Black socks - or rather black and blue striped - last made an appearance in an Everton home kit in 1995 when the Blues lifted the FA Cup for the latest of five times under Joe Royle as they defeated Manchester United at Wembley.

The new kit is expected to be officially revealed after the end of the season.

Could do with a bit more white I reckon. White socks with black trim maybe? A bit iffy about all black or black with blue hoops.

A few tweaks though and we have a masterpiece Joe Royle would be proud of!

    Now that's a nice touch
