Going to be a tough game at Falkirk but advantage us so you never know. Tempting to go defensive for the 2nd leg but imo i think we should go for it. Their weakness is their defense.

MOM for me was Kerr followed by McShane
Although not wanting to be negative after such a good result I'm afraid I can't agree with you Deek. Kerr and especially McShane I thought were pretty poor tonight and don't make a great midfield partnership. McShane does a lot of running but by and large the game passes him by, and he could have done better when the Falkirk player got past him to set up their goal. Unfortunately with the injury to McKenna and with Young probably not fully match fit either, for this standard of opposition at least, they are probably the best option we have at the moment. They played better after the break, as did the whole tea

re: Queens 2-1 Falkirk (1st leg)

Although off the pace in the first half against the wind Queens came roaring back and fought like tigers against a useful Falikirk side.

McIntyre played an ace by bringing on Carmichael late on and the wee man laid on the chance for McHugh to almost burst the net and send Palmy into raptures.

The pressure is now on the Bairns and with the good news that Paton will be back Saturday, Queens are in with a great chance to progress.

Crowd announced as just under 2,000 - utter Bollox in my opinion !

    What do you think ?

John Stewart is back in the form of Bob McHugh. Grabbing a goal on Saturday has maybe done him more good than we thought. Brilliant finish for the winner.
It was a great second half performance.

Mc Shane had a good game too and we had a brilliant spell after we equalised.

Falkirk are dangerous and our record at their place is not great. But the players have given themselves a chance.

A really enjoyable and pulsating match last night. When they scored after 6 minutes I was fearing the worst. They should have made it 2-0 with a free header but that was the turning point. Second half we had a real go at them and got our reward. Two good finishes and McHugh has came into form at just the right time. What a roar when the winner went in.
I thought Kerr was excellent last night and he held things together well in the middle. For me Durnan was not at his best and his distribution of the ball with his feet was poor but the whole team fought very hard and deserve to take a 2-1 lead into second leg.
The crowd looked more than 2000.

The freshly relegated Carlisle United management team were also at the game while I was really pleased for a Queens fan who had came off night shift on Monday in Peterhead and travelled by bus to cheer on the Doonhamers last night.
