RIP.
No age.
To get MS at 62 well that's certainly uncommon at that age.
He also came from a working class background to go to university which back in the day was mostly for the middle classes..
Nowadays as you young lads on here wll see its available for most young people.. It wasn't always like that from the 50s to the 70s you left school as soon as you could to work for a living to contribute to the big family you were brought with.. Yes and not long after you get married have kids then apply for a cooncil hoos..that's the way it was..
Pillinger done good very good...
I remember arfing like **** at him when he scopped an tin can at Mars hoping to beat the yanks getting there. He were geet surprised it didert make it, an tad on the ****ing mental side, but decent value.
RIP.
Thoughts with his friends and family.
When did youse all last see him?
He wanted to try again as well after Beagle. RIP
Aye Beagle, that were it. What actually happened? I must admit I were mainly arfing at him 'cos he sounded like an farmer from Cornwall rather than an rocket scientist to be fair.Originally Posted by Markovitch

Forgot to say Steven Hawkins, Brian Cox and Patrick Moore were there too.
Beagle got close to the planet then just disappeared. I think the theory was it burned up on entry to the atmosphere but no one knows, just disappeared from screens.
I see Hawking has a new paper out claiming black holes don't exist after all
