Nothing can be worse than the two we have the now the weakest area of the team if you ask me but would have liked us too go down the loan route via English leagues.

    re: Dan's back

Interesting debate - he's one of ours now, so I'll get behind him. It was a purely personal impression, but I thought, with no evidence to back it up, that he was a tad short of the ideal height. Then again I also got the impression that we didn't concede as many goals when he was between the sticks. At the end of the day, that's the big yardstick. Anybody counted it up?

He lost 2 goals in 5 games which is excellent as other pair averaged nearly 2 a game

    re: Dan's back

He is short of ideal height but still, he's the same height asAllan McGregor and taller than some other keepers - hardly a deal breaker.

His shot stopping seems average at worst.

He's not as dominant in the air as some but in itself is not a massive problem, the crucial thing is he's consistent and the defence knows what will happen. From the evidence we've seen, if it's in the six yard box he punches it, if not the defence deals with it. Fine.

He's also two-footed and very comfortable with the ball at his feet. I've know idea how you quantify that over the season but if you like these marginal gains the cyclists are so obsessed with, that's one right there.
