Probably...it's often the case in Germany as well, wait for 2015/16!
Is Scotland the only country in the western playing football world, who's capital city is not represented in the top flight of domestic football?

Sure that is the case. Weird times in scottish football. Can't remember anything as bizarre as this in the last 30 years of our game.
the folk of edinburgh only care about the funny shaped ball and not the round one.
Still, if it was a 16 or 18 team top league then none of this big clubs sinking would off happened. If you've got a small league with 2 down, this kind of thing can happen. I dare say, somebody like St Mirren or Kilmarnock could come a cropper next season.
Never mind St Mirren and Kille, shows we can never take anything for granted!
It is strange that some of the most populous areas in Scotland, many with a football tradition, can't muster an SPFL club among them - Greenock, Ayr / Prestwick, Falkirk / Grangemouth, Kirkcaldy - and now Embra.
If Gretna (I know it went pear-shaped later) and Dingwall can do it, what's the problem? Why, one wonders, does East Kilbride (pop.
75 000) not have senior football?
It is incredible to think that at least one of the big 3 will not make it back up ,next season. It will be some contest. As a Motherwell fan it does not concern me, but as a football fan it will be fascinating to watch.
Yes its going to be a brutal, savage dogfight next season. For at least one of the 3 big boys it could spell financial disaster. They'll be stuck in the Championship for at least 2 years one of which will be without the other big guns. That's bound to impact on budgets. How will they even set them with so much uncertainty?
Hibs have been a poorly run club for years paying well over the odds for poor/mediocre players who didn't perform and no young lads coming through the ranks.
It may turn out that "signing" of Leeanne Dempster, is the best bit of business they have done this season. Again though,it not our concern, but as an outsider, it is intriguing to watch on.
Anyway not to long till our trip into Europe.
Technically Cardiff is also a capital city with no representation in Top Flight League. - view external link
