    Aggrgh-stroturf!!

Kilmarnock FC will make a decision next week over whether to install an artificial pitch in time for next season.

The Ayrshire side have already received permission from the SPFL to have the new surface in place for the 2014/15 campaign but they are examining a number of different options.
Rugby Park is the venue for Sunday's Scottish Junior Cup Final between Glenafton and Hurlford United and work on a new pitch would need to start in early June in order to be ready for the start of next term.

A SPFL spokesman said: "We can confirm that Kilmarnock FC made an application to install an artificial surface for use in season 2014/15.

Kilmarnock supporters can get their hands on a unique piece of Killie history this weekend!

Ahead of the installation of a top of the range 3G pitch the current... turf is being lifted over the weekend and we are giving supporters the chance to collect a small piece of turf as a souvenir.

2014/15 season ticket holders can get a piece of the Rugby Park pitch for FREE simply by producing their new season ticket at the rear of the Moffat Stand.

The turf will be available from 12-4pm on Saturday & Sunday at the rear of the Moffat Stand. There is a limit of two sections per person.

For non 2014/15 season ticket holders a piece of the turf can be purchased via donation* to Youth Development.

*Minimum donation is AŁ2 for U21's & AŁ5 for Adults
