    re: Stein Remembered In Documentary

Watched it and it was very good.

You never hear anyone ever speak about him without huge respect.

Sir Alex Ferguson says in his book how much he learned about man management from him. Graeme Souness was on Sky Sports boot room a couple of weeks ago andd his best team of 11 players ( Gough & Hansen being the centre backs incidentally ) that he played with. He was then asked who the best Manager he worked under and said without any doubt Jock Stein as he coped in his era and is the only one he thought clever enough to cope with modern football and modern players.

Remember the night he died and watched the game with an ex Killie player who knew him and raved about him.

Of course there was also the local connection to this area as he nearly lost his life outside Lockerbie in the road accident.

An immense figure in the history of Scottish football
