Back to the worst of all, I note that not content with his abysmal input for the Italy game, the BBC decided to have Phil Neville on the panel for the Russia v South Korea game.

Who on earth at the BBC thought that was a good idea?

I watched the Russia game last night and thought phil Neville was ok to be fair. don't really understand what all the fuss is about. you'd never have him as live commentary but didn't think he was too bad on the panel.

You think it's bad at your end, try listening to *shudder* ESPN commentary. Yanks commentating on football has to be against the Geneva convention.

Thank goodness CBC uses British commentators for their coverage on TV over here, but if you have to listen to the radio it's ESPN and it's absolutely bloody awful.

Aye Martin is good. I've always ranked John Helm as the joint top though with Gary Bloom.
