One of the Forest coaches once told me that Megson hated coloured boots. The players hated him, so they'd show up for training in them. He'd go ballistic and make them, throw them away. Then then went straight out and bought a new pair for the next day. You sort of knew at that point, Megsons days were numbered.

Coloured boots look awful, but they do sometimes help to identify a player at the opposite end of the pitch.
