    News From France

Good news from France and hopefully (I wont hold ma breathe for it!)) the politicians in Britain can grow a set of balls and ban these 'people' wearing this ridiculous/intimidating garment in public.

An attempt by a British legal team to reverse France's burka ban was today rejected by the European Court of Human Rights.

In a test case which will have widespread implications in other countries, judges said that the measure aimed at stopping women covering their faces in public was entirely justified.

They said that the right of ordinary people to 'live together' was a 'legitimate objective', and that Muslim women wearing face coverings threatened it.

France's parliament passed a burka ban in 2010, leading to protests from Islamic groups who said it was discriminatory.

Today lawyers for an anonymous 24-year-old university graduate told the Strasbourg-based court that the ban was 'degrading' and a 'breach of religious freedom'.

Mrs Pogue on one occasion refused to be served in

We've got to protect against the creeping subversion of British principles, values, and culture by religious extremists.

Such facewear would never be tolerated in Fortress Linwood.

We have a right to preserve out national identity. Wearing of a facemask clearly indicates that that individual has not intention of integrating with British society. Only in subverting it.

I tell you, if they had their way, it would be Sharia law on the streets of Britain. You'd then find out how much they care when it's christian Britons crying out about "religious freedom".

Just take a look at what's happening with the muslims in the middle east and see how much they believe in "religious freedom". They don't even believe in religious freedom between different Islamic branches. You'll get one in the back of the head if you fall on the wrong side of religion there.

As you say, Pogue, hopefully we'll see steps similar to France being taken all over Europe.

Fantastic news and it's a pity soft touch leftie Britain hasn't got the balls to ban the burka.

Sounds like she is racist to me ?
Coming home with her face like fizz because a Muslim tried to be nice and serve her in Markies, but she refused to be served because the assistant was dressed in her religions attire ?
I'm glad I'm married to a open minded, nice, sane person and not a bigoted racist like you.

Me and Mrs Pogue would get on just fine. It's just a pity we are in the minority or the country wouldn't be in the phucked up mess that it is.
