was watching Crimewatch Roadshow the other morning, burglars have found a new way of getting into a house, it's called lock snapping.

seemingly this method only takes 30ish secs, it's done to upvc doors with the cylinder locks, when they've done whatever they do your door is completely open to them...there is a good clip on youtube worth looking at.

I got in touch with a local company that deal with lock replacement, they knew all about this problem and arranged to come out and measure my doors up for 'anti-snap locks', these locks solve the problem.

new locks were ordered and they were fitted yesterday...

because of my health problems this was done through a partnership that my local council have with the lock fitters, I only pay for the locks not the labour.
