Been saying this for a while now. Eustace was fantastic last year. Thorne would be a fantastic signing, but a luxury at this level. Many players could play that role.
Not been to any preseason games yet, but I hear Hanson looks good in that role...

2.5 million is a very fair price. If that is truly what they are asking for then we should be paying it before anyone else decides they want in on the action. This guy has proven he is a big asset to the team and I really can't see why it would be better to risk getting someone else in that is definitely not going to be of the quality that Thorne is.
It's an easy decision and we can clearly afford it after receiving 4 million in gate receipts from the play off final. Can't we?

I agree with you Ramondo. I wonder if our negotiators are stepping back to let the hype subside & adapting a take it or leave it stance. GT was sat on our bench last year until Eustache got suspended. If it hadn't been for him being in the right place at the right time, who knows what would have happened?
We all have to remember it is a "TEAM" sport, and individuals come & go without too much changing... No player is irreplaceable.

he was ok at matlock but looked a little bit lightweight for that role I thought. in playing style I thought he was closer to Bryson than thorne. quite busy but didn't look like he was suited to that role. not that you can judge him based on 45 minutes but that was my short observation based on that game.
