    You are seeing it correctly. Your team is significantly weaker as your main goalscorer wanted to leave to finally play at a big club. Given the fact you've spent almost 100M on players who have never played all together before and are hardly what anyone would regard as world-class combined with your lucky results last term and teams all around you bottling it. I'd expect a lower league finish from Liverpool next season.

    Personally, I would expect the loss of Suarez to have us back battling it out for 4th rather than fighting for the title again but who knows. If we get off to a bad start, we may struggle to get into Europe, if the new players hit the ground running, we might have another title shot on our hands.
