I agree,but surely the best thing is just to contact the club and ask their thoughts or put it to them. A petition seems a bIt aggressive without asking first. They maybe happy to oblige.

It is certainly nothing aggressive and nothing against the AFC Board (who I fully support) but just getting a feel from the supporters on AFC Mad who would like to see this happen then take it from there, AFC Officials also read this forum and they can get a feel of the Red Lichtie fans feelings on this subject.

Albert Henderson left a great legacy of success and good governance. His memory should be marked in some way at Gayfield.

Mr Sheerin came to Arbroath and managed to bring a team of EX PREMIER league players with him. They won the THIRD div title. He left with a team of nohopers in the bottom league.wouldn't a corner flag after him

I remember the heady days of the 1960s and 70s, playing in the then 1st Division under Albert Henderson and totally agree with naming the stand, or at very least the hospitality, for the man.

A genuine Arbroath legend.
