    The Homeless Two

During my training i spent six weeks in a day centre for the homeless in central Birmingham. The centre offered lunches, hostel placements immediately, refferal to psychiatric services, social services, and remarkably, a psychologist.

Lunches, tea and coffee were a hit. And somewhere warm to sit down. Most clients were alcoholics, personality disorders, psychopaths, the obviously psychotic, etc, the spectrum is never ending.

The bottom line is this. No one during my time there took up ANY offer of help. They would prefer to sleep out whatever the weather. Psychiatric help was a joke.

They were happy with their lives. Keep it up Buc, helping only one will make it worthwhile. Some of you wont believe this. Fair enough, it is true though.
