Good strike but Twardzik was slow to react. Where was our midfield? Once again we lose a goal to a free shot from yards out. This has been a recurring problem for years. We lose this very kind of goal season in season out. we may go on about our defence and rightly so but our midfield is also very culpable. Better sides would have prevented such shots on goal.

Missing the point here, if Keith housewives favourite lazley hadn't given away three penalties!!! Then the final score would be 4-1.

he's a worse tackler than paul scholes ever was but keeper is too small

He had ‘purple patch’ whilst on loan and if you look back on this Forum you got the man the majority thought the answer.
Hopefully may improve but I never thought the answer due his lacking in height .. I’ve posted previously what is Gordon Marshall doing ?
He is the goalkeeping coach and assume recommends to McCall potential targets and works to improve existing keepers.
Hollis, Nielsen and now Twardzik are the result of his efforts … time for a change of coach.

For these two games, the goalie is not the issue here. Not saving 3 penalties is not to be held against him.

The SAME player giving away ALL the penalties is much more of an issue!

Gunnar may, or may not have saved one of the penalties. He also may not have let the 4th goal in. But, at the same time might have let in one of shots when they broke at pace! So, it's swings and roundabouts.

At the end of the day, you can't give the opposition THREE penalties. Against better opposition the score would have been even worse when including that number of penalties. WE, and only WE kept them in the tie.

Also, it is worse than Albion Rovers, because this cost the team 130,000 euros by giving up the lead 3 times by coinciding multiple penalties.

The height thing is lazy criticism - there have been plenty of goalies his height or smaller who have done well.

A 6ft professional goalie can easily reach the bar, the goal yesterday was due to his lack of attention/slow reaction with moving his feet, not the fact he's two inches shorter than we'd like.

Purple patch or not, the evidence from last season suggested he was better than Nielsen and Hollis. Long-term we'll see if that's true or not, but if not it will be because he's not a good goalkeeper, not that he's a good goalkeeper who didn't eat enough vegetables as a kid.

Sorry don't do this height thing last night was just bad goalkeeping was on line hit right at him all he had to do was put hands up a and push over bar but instead he does a theatrical dive and dives backwards. Andy Goram was 5 feet 11 and a half dan is 6 feet never heard anyone moan about his height so lets not make his height an excuse for bad judgement and bad goalkeeping. Randolph was only an inch bigger and he was superb as well dan just has to cut out the mistakes
