    Possible Future England Team

    The Mail have come up with a possible future England team from promising youngsters;
    Bentley,Lassellas, Galaway,Chambers, Targett, Baker,HUGHES,Roberts Ibe,Wilson,Armstrong. What do you think? Guess Rattea wouldn't agree though.

    See the word 'possible' ... it's 'possible' Gazza could be in a future England team. not likely tho.

    Most people will look at the under 21's and just use them its a bit of a no brainer.

    Interesting thing is 2 years on and still no big money move and not likely for hughes. Most other kids have been snapped up by this point.

    Let me give you a pointer. A few years back I had the same debate with everyone over Barnes and how he wasnt what he was made up to be ... where is he now?

    Two years ago I pointed out how important Bryson was to the team and what a good player he was and look how he's pushed on and the clamour to keep him when people 'though' or 'were led to believe' he may move.

    Most of these things people look ats and hype and not at what they actually do on the pitch. Often that makes the difference when thes things actually do, or dont, come to fruition

    I'm glad he's still with derby & not been 'snapped up' yet. I think he's in for an outstanding season. Then see which teams come sniffing around.

    There's really no point talking about future England teams or a World Cup 2018 team etc, there could be a world class 14 year old kid somewhere in the country who is going to break in and star in the next World Cup at the age of 18 but nobody is going to mention him. I saw one newspaper do a "World Cup 2018 squad" and pretty much every player was already involved with England's senior team in some way. So no player is going to break through in the next four years apparently

    I think it sometimes depends on the division you're in. If you were in the top flight, I don't think he'd last a season with you, by January, some other Prem team would have snapped him up.

    Obviously they do snare players away from the lower tiers, but generally they prefer to see how a player copes in Tier 1. In the past clubs would snap up the exciting prospect in Tiers 3 and 4 not just Tier 2, Rush and Keegan the prime examples.

    Look at Southampton, once the lads proved they were good for prem footy, the Saints didn't have a prayer of holding on to them.

    Using Rattae's definition of "possible" rather a more realistic one (as the original poster was trying to do) I guess I could possibly be in a future England team. It's been a long time since my 30th birthday and I've never played professional football but, anything is possible. Maybe my twin sister will make the team also.
