48 Years ago today...

We (West Ham) won the World Cup. Sat in front of a small B&W TV with my mate and Dad. Remember it well. Anyone have any recollections?

Fantastic memories of that wonderful day. Having been at Wembley for the quarter final against Argentina (also a great memory) I watched all the other games on TV. Fabulous day to be a WestHam supporter, Moore, Peters and Hurst really did us proud. On the back of an FA cup win in 64 and European cup winners cup in 65 as well. Coincidently I saw Martin Peters who lives not to far from me at the weekend and had a little chat about those memories. Great guy and he really was a truly great player.

Remember having a tantrum and getting a *******ing for kicking me slipper at the tv when they equalised. I was 11. Proper England, proper attitudes, proper west ham. Never to be repeated unfortunately.

I was 3 but I remember my Dad (a spurs fan!) getting rather excited all I can remember was the black & white telly
