Everton Closing In On Deal For Highly Rated Belgian Starlet David Henen
Anderlecht forward David Henen is reportedly to join his compatriot Romelu Lukaku in moving to Everton, with Belgian journalist Sven Claes reporting that the 18-year-old is also at Goodison Park discussing a move to the club.
Chelsea forward Lukaku’s move to Everton will remain the day’s headline news, with the striker making last season’s loan move permanent in a £24(?) million deal, but he will be joined at the club by Henen.
It was reported earlier in the week that Everton boss Roberto Martinez had agreed a fee with Anderlecht for Henen and the move now looks set to be sealed imminently.
Claes believes that Henen, who – conveniently – has the same agent as Lukaku, has been at Everton today finalising the move, with just the final paperwork to complete.
Henen spent last season on loan at Monaco’s B side, has been capped by Belgium at youth level and has also been linked with both Manchester United
