    Good luck luck to the guy in his retirement. Had two decent loan spells with us, and really gave his all when playing



    Landon Donovan To Retire At The End Of the Season.


    The all-time leading scorer for the USA national team is wrapping up a career that saw him win five MLS Cups and go to three World Cup finals tournaments
    All-time MLS and USA national team top scorer Landon Donovan has announced he will retire at the end of the 2014 season.

    The forward, who has spent part of his career with Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich and Everton, has played more than 400 club games - most of them with San Jose Earthquakes and LA Galaxy - and won 156 senior caps for his country.

    With five MLS Cups and three World Cup finals appearances to his, the 32-year-old will wrap up what arguably is the greatest career in the history of American soccer after confirming he will quit the game at the end of the campaign.

    Would have loved to have had him here permanently.

    Agreed. Shame we couldn't have brought him here permanently. He appeared very settled at Everton

    Great player to watch. Always had time for the fans as well before and after games/events. Hope he goes on to good things after his career ends.
