    Steve Taylor

Former assistant manager under George Burley, sacked by Huddersfield last week, was in the dugout for the Rams U21 match last night.

You're spot on pal. He is coming back.

Steve started his career at Derby as a player and then for medical reasons had to retire at a very young age. Not sure if you remember, but he collapsed on the pitch.

Despite spending all of his career at the club, Billy got rid of him on arrival and he then follows Georgie boy and joined Robins (lives in Allestree) for stints at Rotherham, Coventry and Huddersfield.

He left end of last season and now is looking for a contract with Derby as he know's Stevie Mac. Should be sorted imminently.

Regarded as a good coach and Derby through and through. My source is my old man as he is a close family friend.

I don't remember him at all as a player

I got confused about who you were all talking about as I'd forgot about Steve Taylor. I was thinking about the other young player that got injured after about half dozen games and followed Steve McClaren to Man Utd...Steve Round.
