    Its where the 4th official should come into play IMO. They should be able to alert the ref to anything he's missed.
    That off the ball incident looked quite nasty & luckily Hollands shrugged it off.

    They are supposed to be impartial not favouring either team. Normally a home team seems to get favoured from where I sit. I heard Rotherham's manager Steve Evans banging on about small teams not getting decisions after their game yesterday. How often say have we seen that at Old Trafford for instance of the years ? Back to fact each referee at PL and FL level is awarded a mark from both teams but the report which really matters is from the assessor who is at every match at those levels. As I understand it there is a gathering behind a locked door after each game which involves the 4 officials and the assessor to discuss the game. The assessors report is then forwarded to the respective league. The Premier League refs are managed by Mike Riley and Football league referees have another but I don't know who it is. If say a referee in the football league is having a particular problem he may be rested for a week or so but will be given advice by the supremo too. The PL refs have a gatheri

    I don't disagree with what you posted Gun, He was the worst I've seen this season for sure. I've just done some searching and the said Lee Collins was the appointed official at the Plymouth v Wycombe game Tuesday which seems to have caused a storm down in Devon, so no surprise he seems to have been given a Saturday off yesterday
