The problem seems to have been caused by rogue adverts and it has been addressed by FootyMAD HQ.
The problem was not confined to FootyMAD as other sites on the web had the same problem.
As a precaution make sure your Anti Malware and Anti Virus software is up to date and don't download anything that looks suspicious.
There is a bogus e-mail from BT circulating at the moment inviting you to change your e-mail address - stay clear of it.
