re: RANGERS AWAY TICKET SHOCK FOR QUEENS FANS

Police horses at Palmerston for the Falkirk 1st Leg play off, stewards taking bottles off kids at Palmerston and Rangers Football Club having to limit away supporters to 1,000 for the rest of the season which will potentially result in no segregation at all at their home matches.

    What a total farce !

Scottish Football is dying and this is the way fans are treated.

I would also agree that Rangers should be limited with a pro rata percentage of tickets for their visit to Palmerston ( but as said before, football doesn't work that way ).

It's a pity we couldn't get enough of a home support versus Rangers to fill Palmerston and then offer them 200 tickets ( i.e.: the equivalent 2% we are getting for Ibrox )

Its an absolute farce!! And what was the reason given again?? ... "due to problems in segregation v Hearts, the police have unfortunately insisted that the away support allocation at Ibrox for the rest of the League season is to be less than 1,000 tickets".

So does that mean that when The Rangers get back to the Scottish Premiership the same rule will apply??

Surely that means that QoS fans who can't get tickets will go in with the home fans which could have the potential to cause the police even more problems!!

    Brainless decision !!!!!

i know that we would lose some revenue by only giving rangers the 1000 tickets thay gave us but situations like this need adressing and the board have to think without thinking of there pockets on these occasions ,and same goes for all the clubs in our league ,only way to punish rangers for this is to limit there massive away support advantage and give them a taste of there own medicine ,and before anyone says that its not rangers fault that police scotland came to this decision your wrong cause instead of giving less tickets to segrigate thay could give all teams the whole bottom tier of the broomlone stand then there would be no segrigation talk .

The last time Rangers were at Palmerston a flare was thrown onto the pitch from the Terregles Street end where they were additionally allocated.

How will this be acted on ?

    Answer :

Limit Queens away support at Ibrox to 1,000 and increase the capacity at a Palmerston for Rangers next visit.

    Mm...

Am I missing something here ?

It's a POLICE SCOTLAND decision not Rangers FC . The problem has arisen from a few minor incidents at the recents games against Hibs & Hearts and unfortunately clubs like Queens must suffer .

An easy solution is to move the Rangers support further along the Broomland Road Stand and create a bigger segregation section - it's not exactly rocket science now is it

One ticket per person??? What if people can't make it on Sunday due to work or other commitments?
    Total joke.

the away fans are usually just shoved into the corner anyway, I was under the impression they gave extra to Hearts and hibs and never had any intention of doing that for any other clubs in the championship.

oh and dont expect a quick getaway, they tend to keep visiting fans in after the final whistle for 15-20 mins as well.

I suppose at least they have brought their ticket prices down a bit

Rangers have for some bizarre reason sold season tickets this year for the section right next to the away support . This had caused problems with both sets of fans using the same exit & mixing downstairs under the stand .

The problems would of been avoided if only the hadn't sold tickets in that section . A strange thing to do especially when they knew big away supports where due this season .

It's a ridiculous situation made worse with the fact they've only sold 18,000 season tickets

Completely agree with the people who say we should limit the Rangers fans when they come to Palmerston.
