    HMS PLYMOUTH GOES TO SCRAPYARD

Slightly off topic but may be of interest to some that HMS Plymouth has left Liverpool bound for a scrapyard in Turkey.

Argentina formerly surrendered to the British on board in Port Stanley at the end of the Falklands war.

Efforts to preserve the warship have so far failed.

I personally think that when these ships are decommissioned they should be sent to one place and one place only. The city in which they were built!

I find the subjects you think are suitable for discussion on this message board strange.

Fair enough, but on the Independance thread you told me to keep my views to Facebook as this is a football message board.

    Football/Falklands message board.

Mr Admin I am informed that you served Queen and Country for many years in the navy which included serving in the Falklands campaign so fully understand your posting of the demise of HMS Plymouth.
