Can't believe people are willing to judge him on no more than 45 minutes of football, and those minutes are when he's coming back from injury. The lad has a proven record for goal scoring and given time I'm sure he will come good, but time seems to be something that some are not happy to give.

It was the same last year when the usual clowns were asking for the managers head after only a few games in charge . He proved them wrong just like Baird will

Herd rumours that he's on a move to Brentford for the best part of £800,000, gavs a good player at this level and is worth £100,000 at most for me

    re: John Baird

Baird has been a proven goal scorer at most of the Clubs he's been at. As others have said, coming on as a sub for a team playing with 10 men, as was the case on Saturday, it was never going to be easy to get many scoring chances. He was on from the start up at Livi last night but the service to him was poor and he looked pretty frustrated and was eventually subbed. Hitting high balls up to him against 6 foot plus defenders or hitting long balls into space for him to run onto were a waste of time as he doesn't have the height or speed for that type of game, but play the ball to his feet or at a decent height to control and I think he will start to show his worth. I'm a bit loath to compare him to Stephen Dobbie but Dobbie never won many high balls or ran too far to get onto the end of a pass yet he managed to score goals with the right service. Baird is maybe not 100% fit yet either so I would say it's too early to judge his performances.
